Recent HUD changes in policy have had a profound effect on how both Owner Agents and Contract Administrators do their jobs.  Attending this course will give housing stakeholders a clear understanding of the “musts” and “shoulds” of using the Enterprise Income Verification System (EIV) and an understanding of how compliance/non-compliance will affect findings and responses due on Management and Occupancy Review Reports.  With the issuance of this notice, HUD has changed what Owners/Agents are required to do to be compliant with EIV in its entirety.  These changes include when and how to use EIV reports, records retention requirements, and what Contract Administrators are required to review to ensure compliance.

This course also provides guidance on the newly released Chapter 6:  Project Monitoring from Handbook HUD 4350.1 which changes how Management and Occupancy Reviews are performed and scored. HUD’s new numeric scoring and weighting system for determining category and overall report ratings will be explained and demonstrated in detail.
