THE MIDWEST AFFORDABLE HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (MAHMA) is a professional association representing owners and managers of affordable housing throughout Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
We are a regional organization with grassroots support from local, regional and national affiliations. Through our liaison with THE NATIONAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (NAHMA), our members benefit from the tremendous support and legislative work that is provided by the working partnership of the national HUD offices and other government, and community agencies. Located in Washington, DC, NAHMA works with key industry and government officials in facilitating the affordable housing industry and in voicing the decisive needs and concerns of its members.
The Midwest Affordable Housing Management Association’s members are responsible for the day-to-day management tasks for over 800,000 units of the nation’s affordable housing stock. OHFA 2011 Qualified Allocation Plan First Draft Now Posted Online |

The first draft of the 2011 Qualified Allocation Plan is now available on OHFA's website for review and public comment. The comment period will end on March 14, 2010. Register for the 2011 Qualified Allocation Plan Discussion Groups and Public Hearing
OHFA will host two discussion sessions and a public hearing for the 2011 Qualified Allocation Plan. These sessions are an opportunity for OHFA's partners to provide feedback on issues relating to the 2011 QAP.
You are invited you to attend one of the two sessions and the public hearing. Seating is limited, so register as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Links can be found below to quickly register for the discussion session as well as the public hearing.
Please Note: All developers are welcome and encouraged to register for this unique roundtable discussion. MSHDA Federal Exchange Program Update |

The attached memo outlines the Michigan State Housing Development Authority's plans surrounding the anticipated extension of the federal tax credit exchange program. Please watch for additional updates over the next few weeks as we update forms and documents needed to align these plans with the upcoming March 1st application deadline for the 9% LIHTC general round.

EIV Live Q&A Moved to February 25th |

The EIV Live Q&A Webcast that was scheduled for Wednesday February 3, 2010 has been changed to Thursday February 25th from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM EST. Please adjust your calendars accordingly.
HUD has announced that this webcast will also cover the Final Rule on "Refinement of Income and Rent Determination Requirements in Public and Assist Housing Programs." Slides for that portion of the webcast will be posted prior to the webcast.

HUD's FY 2009 Annual Operating Cost Standards - Section 202 & 811
In Januray, HUD issued Notice H10-03, "Fiscal Year 2009 Annual Operating Cost Standards - Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly and Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities Programs." This Notice contains the Operating Cost Standards, which HUD Office staff should use for calculating the annual per person/per unit amount of a Project Rental Assistance Contract when making Fiscal Year 2009 subsidy fund reservations for Capital Advance applications under the subject programs.

Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) & You Brochure - Requirements for Distribution and Use
Earlier this month, HUD issued Notice H2010-2, "Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) & You Brochure - Requirements for Distribution and Use." The Notice provides guidance to owners and management agents (O/As) on the distribution and use of the EIV & You brochure. Any O/A who is using the EIV system is subject to this Notice. The EIV & You brochure is to inform tenants and potential tenants about the EIV system, the data that is available about them in EIV, how the information will be used, and their responsibilities as a tenant.
